Design & Production
During the design process of each new pair of glasses, our main aim is to produce a style that exudes plenty of bold personality whilst maintaining a high degree of elegance and sophistication. We like to draw inspiration from vintage frame shapes, colours and sizes to form the foundation of each new style, applying an added touch of modernism in order to keep our frames looking fashionably fresh for those who wish to stay on trend.
Our glasses frames are made using injection moulded plastic, a material that ensures comfortability thanks to it's light weight and flexibility. The production process starts by filling a specially crafted mould with hot liquid plastic, then allowing the plastic to cool and solidify into the desired form. Here at Primframes, our vision is to provide men and women with the opportunity to purchase stylish eyewear at affordable prices, a formidable yet not unattainable task. One of the main benefits to utilising liquefied plastics is the reduction of cost to our customers. Only the most necessary materials are required to fill moulds, as opposed to other production techniques that can be more wasteful. Not only does this increase affordability, but it also has the added bonus of being environmentally friendly due to little or no waste material being produced.
Every single Primframes lens is above European industry standards as they block out light rays with wavelengths up to four hundred nanometres. To put this simply, our lenses are capable of filtering out 99-100% of UVA and UVB light, which is essential for maintaining your eye's health.
